1. Turn on the machine and it should say 00 on the LED. Then press
pedal 1 so that it lights up. (Even though we will be using other
pedals here in a sec- We are still programing Pedal/preset 1 think of
it as if we are now inside preset/pedal 1).
2. To enter edit mode press the down pedal for a few seconds, when
you let it up the green light under Preset Config flashes. At this
point other pedals may be lit up. Switch 1(pedal 1) and Switch 2
(pedal 2) may be red. Turn these off so they are NOT red anymore.
Hold them down until they go off. These are for the external
switches out of the back. You will not use them!
3. After you turn off switch 1 and 2 the next step is to press the
UP key so that the flashing green light moves over to select and
stays constant. Here other lights may be lit up as well. Like Pedal
1 again, but this time it is not for the switches. Pedal 1 - 5 are
for program changes. If they are on, hold them down so they turn
off. We dont want any pedal on.
If any other pedals are on, hold it down until it is off. You are
not going to concern yourself with any of these. **The only Pedal
you want on at this point is PEDAL 10**
4. Hold down pedal 10 until it comes on. Once it comes on press it
again until it flashes. Once it is flashing press the UP pedal. The
green light that was over SELECT has now moved over to NUMBER. Here
is where you program the Number that we talked about in the other
email. You can use the pedals, numbered 1-9 to program the correct
number here. So, for Battery Cell A-1 the Key Range musical note is
C1 so the Midi note that you want to program here (for pedal 1) is 36.
5. Type in 36 using the pedals, or you can EXP pedal to dial in the
correct number. This can take a while, so I suggest using the pedals.
6. When you have done that- Press UP to confirm- the green light
will then go back to select. You are done with preset/pedal 1.
7. Press DOWN and hold for a few secs, when you let up you should be
back to 00 with preset/pedal 1 lit.
8. Now on to pedal 2! Press it. Repeat steps 2-7. And then on to
pedal 3.
What I have written out here is what is written out on page 10, sec.
2.4.6.
Also, pressing a pedal/preset will send the NOTE ON command, when you
remove your foot the NOTE OFF command is sent...So what I think that
means is if you have a loop set up in a cell the loop will play as
long as you hold down the pedal. Dont quote me on that though.
Last thing, all this depends on the fact that battery does in fact
see the FCB1010. How are you connecting to your computer? Anyway I
hope this helps and is easier to follow than the directions. I was
going to send a pic that shows the different functions but I think
that might confuse the matter. Good luck if you have any more
questions, let me know.
