Problema imac-pro tools-garaje band

Hola, me acabo de comprar in imac 3.06 y 4 gb y trabajo con pro tools 8.04, cuando estoy currando me sale el siguiente error (cuidado que es un parrafón, sigo más abajo)

También me pasa al intentar abrir el garaje band que me sale el siguiente texto:

GarageBand unexpectedly quit while trying to use the Audio Unit “Ozone 4” by “iZotope”.

El caso es que hace una semana q tengo el imac (me gaste todo mi presupuesto en él, tras tener muchos problemas en pc) y estoy bastante "intranquilo", si alguien ha tenido el mismo problema y me puede ayudar se lo agradecería... mi tarjeta es la digi 003 rack+.

Yo no te puedo ayudar, pero sinceramente espero que no hayas tenido que escribir todo eso....uf! Bueno, lo de Ozone 4, es probable que tengas que actualizarlo o borrarlo por completo del folder donde residen los plugins de protools (o desinstalarlo, no sé).

Desafortunadamente, yo uso PC y no sé en Mac donde están los plugins, pero es muy probable que ése y/o algún otro plugin te esté causando problemas. Sin embargo, son golpes al aire de alguien que no sabe mucho de esto.

Yo entraría en Knowledge Database de Digidesign y miraría el tema de compatibilidades con el OSX antes de mirar otra cosa. Digidesign certifica que sus diferentes hardware y software funcionan bien con unas determinadas versiones de OSX, con otras es posible que funcione bien, mal o regular. Veo que tienes la versión 10.6.6 que es la última e igual no está soportada. Si tienes que cambiar de versión no creo que haya problamas con el distribuidor Apple en que te den una versión más antigua.
Por cierto, ten en cuenta también el firmware de la Digi.

Gracias a todos los que me estaias ayudando. He reinstalado tanto protools como el ozone 4 (todo original), e instale la ultima actualización del ozone, que era lo q sospechaba seria el problema... pero nada, sigue igual ¿qué puedo hacer, debería formatear el imac, tiene algún problema mi nuevo ordenador...? estoy un poco desesperado, yo creía que pasándome a mac se solucionarían mis problemas... Ayuda por favor!

Pues ahí sigo con mis cabalas... desinstalé el ozone4 y de momento el error que me daba no me lo da, pero ahora si dejo el ordenador con pro tools abierto en reposo se queda colgao el programa (la flecha se convierte en el circulillo ese de colres y no responde), por lo que tengo la esperanza que el problema me lo ocasione algun otro plugin del paquete factory. Explico cómo instalé a ver si es lo que yo pienso... Instalé pro tools 8.0 y seguidamente los plugins del paquete factory y luego realicé el update (8.03 o 8.04, he probao con los 2 y da igual). Entonces igual ¿debería instalar pro tools 8.0, hacer el update a 8.03 o 8.04 y luego instaler todos los plugins? ¿Qué opinais?
