Midjay Ketron ..........S.O.S.

Tengo un midjay ketron y se lo di a un amigo que supuestamente conoce el tema para actualizarlo pero me ha borrado el sistema operativo alguien podría ayudarme para saber como recuperar mi sistema operativo quedare infinitamente agradecido

Por lo que veo corresponde al MidJay 4.2i, no se si es exactamente el que tu tienes, En teoria no deberia ser complicado recuperarlo.

El sistema operativo del MIDJAY reside en la memoria Flash y puede actualizarse de la siguiente forma: Tras haberse bajo del sitio http://www.ketron.it el nuevo sistema operativo:
1. Conecte el MIDJAY al ordenador usando la conexión USB. 2. Transfiera los Ficheros MIDJAYOS.BIN del disco duro de su ordenador al MIDJAY situándose en el directorio principal y sobrescribiendo el Fichero MIDJAYOS.BIN homónimo residente (Overwrite).
Atención: se prohíbe rigurosamente desconectar el cable USB o apagar el MIDJAY durante la transferencia de los datos. Esto puede comportar la completa destrucción de los Ficheros en el Disco y un funcionamiento incorrecto grave del mismo disco.
KETRON no podrá ser considerado responsable por los daños derivados del incumplimiento de estas reglas.
3. Desconecte el cable USB (usando el procedimiento de remoción seguro del hardware del ordenador) y espere que la inscripción USB Connected desaparezca de la pantalla. 4. A continuación, apague y encienda de nuevo el MIDJAY. El instrumento presentará el mensaje "New OS file has been found. Install?" diciendo que se ha detectado un nuevo Sistema operativo y preguntando si queremos instalarlo. Pulse Enter con la función "OK" activada para confirmar la instalación. 5. El nuevo programa es cargado automáticamente mientras que los botones 0-9 parpadean. 6. Tras haber completado la carga, el MIDJAY se predispone en la condición de funcionamiento inicial.

Ante todo te agradezco mucho tu gentil respuesta efectivamente es MidJay 4.2i,el problema que tengo es que no me aparece el menu contextual del midjay como si el disco estuviera formateado yo copie al disco duro midis y pude reproducirlos incluso editarlos pero el menu El disco duro del MidJay
este menu no aparece el sistema operativo ha sido borrado cuando entro via usb solo muestra el disco en blanco como podria istalar el sistema si no me da opcion a ningun menu

en la web de ketron no encuentro la forma de hacer un restaurar los valores de fàbrica.

HOW TO UPDATE MIDJAY - RELEASE 4.2i



1) Upload MIDJAYOS42i.exe
2) Unzip the file to extract MIDJAYOS.BIN.
3) Connect Midjay to the computer using the USB port
4) Delete the MACHINE.INI and the MONITOR.INI files that are located in the MIDIJAY’s main root ( C:/) if you had saved any Power On Settings. Due to the new implementations this file will have to be removed in order to get the new default Monitor and Power On settings. You can later re-create your Power On Setup settings when the update is completed.
Machine .ini files store information about Monitor setting and General settings such as Footswitch , Play mode, .Mid etc. After the update is complete, these parameters will need to be set/programmed again.
Warning: Do not disconnect the USB cable or switch off the instrument as long as the HD LED is flashing (denoting data is being transferred). You may loose all data on your hard disk if the cable is unexpectedly disconnected during use. Wait for the HD LED to stop flashing prior to disconnecting the USB cable from the unit/computer or turning it off!! KETRON will not be responsible for data lost due to incorrect use of the UNIT!
5) Save MIDJAYOS.BIN on the Midjay main directory ( C:\).
6) Once files transfer will be completed remove the USB cable by using Windows safe procedure Hardware remove.
7) Turn the Midjay off.
When turned on again, Midjay displays the message “ NEW OS File….press OK / ENTER .
9) While the OS is being loaded, the Midijay leds of the Play list section flash. Once this procedure is completed, the Midjay will restart automatically.
10) Turn the Midjay off. After a while turn it On again and press the 0-1-2-7 buttons until the following is displayed: [FLASH PROGRAM UPDATE] etc .. .
Follow the instructions and wait for the procedure to be completed.
11) Once the above procedure is completed, the Midjay returns to its standard operating mode.

Important: Any interruption of the power supply to the Midjay during the above procedure would seriously damage the instrument.


prueba a hacer lo que dice el punto 10, por si te deja entrar en el menù.

Hola amigos tengo un midjay actualizado pero no lo uso hace tiempo me he comprado un teclado y me gustaría saber si el midjay funciona como módulo esclavo multitimbrico osea con lis 16 anales disponibles con un sonido vía midi si es así por favor alguien me puede decir como hago para que funcione? A mí lo que me gustaría saber es qué dice el manual de tu Midjay al respecto de la duda que planteas...

Hola amigos he intentado reproducir archivos midifiles del ordenador con el van vasco con un adaptador usb a midi in out y sin problema pero cuando lo hago via usb el van vasco lo reconoce como midjay pero no se reproduce bien y se cuelga el programa he probado cambiando
con varios cables pero nada alguien sabe por que pasa esto?muchas gracias por adelantado
