XMOS XS1-L01A-TQ128-C5 (GT1244L1 C5 PKH293.09) - Microcontroller (500MIPS, 32BIT, 64KB SRAM).
SMSC USB3343 1511900 - Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Transceiver Family Featuring RapidCharge.
ATMEL AT25DF041A ATMEL1113 - Serial interface flash memory device.
Y listo, tengo mi focusrite trabajando como siempre

@Nacho:
Hello, I could not fully translate what you said.
Did you say: You have a 2i4 that is working still, but you want to know how to PREVENT it from dying/needing repair like ours?
More information on this repair:
To fix this audio interface, I think you ONLY need to replace the USB transceiver chip SMSC USB3343 FIRST!!!! But it is a QFN IC chip (very hard to solder with amateur skills)
The XMOS and Atmel chip are microcontrollers/flash memory, and require programmers to test them. So I think they need programming or you have to get the chip from another used Focusrite interface.
Nacho, can you understand my English? Or do I need to translate it?

Yes, I was concerned about how to prevent this incidence. I don't need to fix anything (so far).
Ah, well, I don't think there are any preventative measures.
The only unverifiable conspiracy i've seen is plugging in a mic (condensor i'm guessing) while phantom power is on already.
I ordered me a Mackie Blackjack.

1. The chips are cheap, but there are caveats. I think the serial flash chip and xmos microcontroller have/are programmed or you have to get them from another broken interface.
The USB controller chip is the most likely culprit. Regardless I would only try to replace it FIRST, not all 3 chips.
2. The USB controller chip is a QFN style mounting chip (not a novice solder job and the right equipment is needed)
If you have someway to get the QFN chip soldered you can order it from here:
