Where moving or deleting items can automatically affect later items in the song. For instance, if you delete a duff section of your guitar solo in 'Ripple editing: One track' mode, it will move the rest of the solo earlier to join up, while in 'Ripple editing: All tracks' mode it will do the same for every track, complete with all marker and automation data. These functions should prove very useful when editing live performances.
Tá claro, no?
4.42 Ripple Editing
Ripple editing is a good way to perform an edit within a busy timeline and maintain sync relationships. When you perform a ripple edit, you are essentially adjusting the duration of a clip by manipulating its In and Out points and by doing so, the clips beyond the edit points are adjusted by the same value.
To access Ripple Editing, choose the Options, Ripple Editing command, or use the keyboard shortcut Alt P.
The same action (choosing the command or using the shortcut) toggles the Ripple Editing status between three states:
Off: This is the default mode. Items will not shift when you do edits on a track.
One Track: If you select the ripple editing option once, it will select one track ripple editing. This means anything
you do to items on that track will affect other items of the same track. All Tracks: If you select the ripple editing
option twice, it will enable the All tracks ripple editing. This means anything you do to ANY of the items on ANY
track will effect the ENTIRE project. Helpful for deleting entire sections of songs.
In this mode, markers and automation are locked to the items that they relate to, so as you move items the
associated markers and automation move too. Using this mode on multiple tracks is very useful for editing
multitrack recordings of live material - everything that belongs together stays together in sync as you edit.
Conversely, using this mode with an item on a single track makes REAPER behave rather like a stereo editor.
For instance, if you split the item at a couple of places (so you now have three items) then delete the middle piece, the remaining pieces join up, but unlike with a normal stereo editor, you can adjust the join by dragging the ends of the items appropriately. If you want to move material from one place to another, you can split at the insertion point, drag the material to the right of the insertion out of the way, then make the insertion and drag the displaced material to join it. All items to the right of the dragged item will stay together and markers and automation will move correctly too.
Voy a pelearme con la traducción, gracias tío...
