"My Digi 002 works with Sequoia 8.31 and Samplitude 10. The trick is to download and install the standalone version of the Digidesign ASIO Driver, available on the Digidesign website. I did not install the Pro Tools LE 7 software, only the standalone ASIO driver from the website. The Digidesign ASIO driver that comes on the CD with the 002 does not work. It has to be the standalone version. Hope that helps. I've only used it for a few hours as a test, with no conflicts so far. My other ASIO driver is working through a Lynx AES16 sound card. I'm able to switch back and forth with no problem (so far), but you can't use both ASIOs at the same time."
Un saludo.
Voy a provar, perece que es lo que me pasa a mi.
Gracias.
Hola a mi me paso lo mismo cuando instale pro tools 8 y encontre esto que arreglo mi problema.
Good Day everyone, the Asio Driver now works beautifully.
I thank the Tech Support who told me this was not a generic
problem. That made me determined to troubleshoot it myself.
I can't say if all these steps were necessary, but this was how I
got going.
1. Disconnect Protools Hardware
2. In Sounds and Audio Device Properties
Hardware
Legacy Audio Drivers
Audio Devices
Removed broken Audio for Digi32.dll (v7.4)
3. in System/Device Manager found the same entry:
Legacy Audio Drivers
Audio Devices
Audio for Digi32.dll
(properties: Cannot load the Digi32.dll driver....)
uninstalled that.
4. Uninstalled Protools 8 Program AND drivers
(with Digi Hardware disconnected)
note the uninstaller gives three options, chose the second,
"remove software AND drivers"...
5. Restarted, deleted leftover dlls from
Program Files/Digidesign/Drivers/
and
Program Files/Digidesign/Protools/
including
Digifilt v 7.3
digiasio.dll v7.4
deleted following dlls from Windows/System32
DigiDriverSupport.dll v7.4
DirectIO.dll v7.4
deleted following dll from Windows/System32/drivers
Digifilt.dll v 7.3
Reinstalled 8
Restarted, Works beautifully.
I have to give Digidesign credit, on the way they did the driver, they
made an entire new set with the version number properly embedded, rather than use a mix of old drivers, so any driver on your system not version 8.0.x can safely be binned.
Secondly the un-intstaller actually does a good job.
Remember you can't uninstall the drivers with the Drivers Uninstaller, you must choose option 2 on the DIgisoftware uninstaller.
AND in case the entry doesn't appear on the uninstall list there is a standalone uninstaller in the program folder, in a subfolder named "Protools Utilities".
Good luck All!
saludos
Gracias a todos, por fin me van los dos en la digi 002, Pro tools 8 y Sam 11.
