Es lo que dices, por supuesto. Lo primero la oreja, estudiar teoría sin relacionarla con el sonido es como aprender a hacer crucigramas: poca música puede salir de ahí.

La mayoría de los recursos que se usan en las bandas sonoras no vienen en ningún libro, a eso me refiero Vagar.

Claro, se entiende perfectamente lo que dices y es una gran verdad, pero la forma coloquial de expresarlo da pie al comentario que hacía.

Libros, alguno habrá, a mí hace unas semanas me apareció este trabajo de fin de carrera en las alertas de academia.edu:

pero pasa en muchos otros estilos.

Aun así, en los estilos en los que abunda la literatura, de poco sirve si no viene acompañada de formación auditiva. Incluso es contraproducente, si se crea en el estudiante la expectativa errónea de que el libro es suficiente. Al final, por mucho que diga el libro, la música hay que tocarla, y muchos matices son farragosos, si no imposibles, de codificar verbalmente.

Por eso el comentario jocoso de que escuchar también es estudiar. De hecho es la parte más importante de la formación del músico, en cualquier estilo.

Hola, por aportar, me encontré este articulo del poeta peruano ALfonso Cisneros Fox, llamado "La música en el cine: Géneros y compositores".

Es más genéricico de lo que estamos tratando, pero bueno, solo en caso de que queráis echarle una ojeada.

Montreal international film scoring competition


Decembre 10th, 2020 - Beginning of the competition


The Specialized Diploma Program in Film Music at the Université du Québec à Montréal and the Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois are proud to announce the sixth edition of the Montreal International Film Music Composition Competition. Three short films are proposed to composers of all parts of the world to inspire their creativity.


Multiple awards (see below) shall be awarded to the composer of the best score for each of the following films: Souvenirs de Roumanie, Vapeur et charbon et Jane, as well as to all finalists of the competition, thanks to our amazing sponsors at Acustica Audio, UQAM, UQAT and Arturia.


The music by the finalists in each of the categories will be diffused during a special event on line this year.


Concours international de composition de musique de film de Montréal


According to Mathieu Lavoie, the competition’s director, UQAM professor and compositeur at Vibe Avenue: « The four first editions of the competition were an amazing success! To this day, nearly 1200 submissions from composers of two dozen countries have been received. This confirms that Montreal is a key player on the international scene of the movie industry.”


Stages of the Competition


December 10th, 2020: Competition opens. Three short films are available online on the website of the Montreal International Film Music Composition Competition.
Ferbruary 22nd 2021, 11:59 PM (EST): Deadline for composers to submit their entries. Composers may submit up to three entries in the competition (one piece per film) if they so desire.
March 15th 2021: Finalists announced.
beginning of april : Winners announced. On line event

Eligibility


The contest is open to any composer of any age and is worldwide. There are no registration fees. Past winners are not eligible for the competition. It is possible to participate up to three times to the competition by sumbitting music for each of the three films.

We are proud that all three films proposed for this competition have been directed by students for Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT).T) .

FMC 2021 Contest Categories Revealed

FMC 2021 will open its online registration on March 28, 2021. It will be possible to register from this date into all competition categories:

1.- Original Music for Film, TV, Ads, Video games

2.- Instrumental Music

3.- Film Score for the Animated Sci-Fi film “To the Pathfinders of the universe” This film is a sequel to the successful film scoring category, where composers and sound designers will be able to compose an original composition for this visionary work.

4.- Theatre Music

5.- Trailer Music for professional travel documentary film about Iceland will be new category. The task will be the same for everyone. To compose music for the travel documentary “The Way of Inspiration Iceland” in length 3:47. Competitors will find more info about this category on FMC website.

6.- Music for Video game HIND. FMC in cooperation with 3DIVISION video game development company brings a new category: “Music for Videogame”. It was literally requested by a large community of composers and sound designers who are dedicated to this musical genre. We give them a unique opportunity to join our competition and to compose music for the interesting video game “Air Missions: HIND”.

7.- Films, TV series, Videos with original music. This category is for film and video makers as well as composers who have composed music to any visual work. It is possible to submit movies and videos of all genres without restrictions on the date of their creation, as well as experimental, animated, documentary, children’s films, SCI-FI and genre hybrids in a total length up to 10.00 min.
