Sobre Rom kurzweil y compra dudosa en Ebay

Acabo de recibir un paquete con la placa orquestal para mi kurzweil K2500R que adquirí hace una semana en Ebay.
Bien, pues el vendedor citaba lo siguiente en el anuncio:

Installation is easy, but it requires that you already have the Kurzweil Daughter Board installed. Acabo de recibirlo, y los manuales sólo hacen referencia al K2000, así como en la placa, viene impreso la referencia K2000.
Ésta tarde, si aún no he recibido respuestas, intentaré instalarla, pero la verdad es que ésto me huele un poco mal.

Parece que he encontrado la respuesta, aunque no me queda nada claro ésto de tener que cambiar la daughterboard:

Question - Can I use my ROM's from my K2000 in my K2500, K2600 or K2661?

Answer - Yes you can, though you will need a new daughterboard for the new model. The daughter board's are different between each model to allow you change these ROM's between the different hardware. For the K2000 the option is the RMB-K, for the K2500, the daughterboard is RMB-P2 and the K2600 is option RMB-26. The K2661 does not require an additional daughterboard to fit the ROMs, and comes fitted with the Orchestral and Contemporary ROMs.

* The Orchestral and Contemporary ROM's can be fitted to the K2000, K2500 and K2600 series of synths.
o The Orchestral ROM is ROM 1 and must be fitted into the ROM 1 slot. It is keyed, so it won't fit into the ROM 2 slot. It takes up ID's 900-999. For the K2000 the Setup EEPROM's need to be changed to get the additional programs. On all later models, the objects are available as a download from Kurzweil's Website

Quiere decir ésto que la ROM sí puede funcionar, pero bajo una nueva daughterboard para el 2500?

Pues por lo que pones, parece ser que sí. Me **imagino** que es como un adaptador para el slot o algo así, llamado RMB-P2.

Vaya movida. Suerte! Seguro que esos sonidos merecen la pena.

Ésto es un sin sentido... Mi K2500 ya tiene su "daughterboard" correspondiente, es decir, la que tambien tiene incorporada la placa de pianos y permite instalar las dos roms opcionales. Definitivamente no se a qué se refieren con éso..
Finalmente he llegado a casa y he instalado la placa, nada más sencillo que abrir la carcasa de metal e introducir la placa en su slot.
Al encender el aparato para verificar, no aparece nada en la lista de sonidos a partir del 900, que es donde debería aparecer.
Estoy más perdío..

Ya he solucionado el problema.
Ya que aquí no nos decidimos a crear el tan citado foro kurzweil, o quizás sea porque no haya suficientes usuarios de la marca, os paso un enlace del foro en que que he resuelto mis dudas, aunque deberéis de estar algo puestos en inglés.
