#1095 Thanks Chris, I think it's too difficult for me to know what is the real problem as I don't have enought knowledge. When I switch it on there is a big noise like earth wrong connection and there is no music sound. I'm afraid I would need to send it to someone who can have a look deeply. Many components would need to be revised/changed..., but I think it's not worthy

Mmmmh... that's the tricky one: ideally, I would recommend the 60 mm 10Kohm K-Alps faders, but they are a bit hard to find. Many people is directly substituting them by the vertical-configuration N-series Alps. They work very well, despite not being such high range as the K-Alps.
The problem is that most of the K-Alps you may find will probably be 1-channel (not stereo), and, in any case, quite expensive. even in 10mm -much easier to find- they use to be about 25-35 Eur, but the 60mm stereo ones used to be available almost exclusively via Service agents, and not so much open to public.
We have been diving into several websites (RS online, Mouser, etc), and even directly contacting Alps, but the reply is not fancy (I don't remember if they told that argument of the Service Centers, or that we would need to order a big quantity for producing them).
There are altenatives in Bourns, TKD..., but also pricewise not quite affordable and/or not quite easy to find. Also, Penny and Giles doesn't seem to have anything as of today, unfortunately.

Hi Zitro! I love the Alps K-Fader and fortunately have a decent stock of reclaimed 2 channel (stereo) faders which should keep my PM90 going for many years to come!
I think the 2 Channel was even used on the Mic modules but just with terminal 3 (the orange wire not connected).
Sadly the Penny & Giles PGF3000 range is discontinued. This was a brilliant fader with a conductive plastic track and lasted a very long time. Such a shame. I have enough of them to upgrade my PM80 fortunately. Longer term options for quality faders seem very limited and what options that exist may be subject to minimum order quantities. I wonder if it would be worth looking into and creating an ebay store to service this market. Obviously Formula Sound can supply many parts, but not all and deserve our support.
As a separate issue, does anyone think Formula Sound really need to improved their online marketing!? There is new interest in vinyl and Formula Sound have the history and products to appeal to enthusiasts who value great sound. The club market is dead due to Covid and they need to find a new audience. Look at this company for example. They are really selling a lifestyle choice that looks cool. . .. https://mastersounds.co.uk/. Their FF4.2R and 6.2R would be ideal.
I want Formula Sound to survive!
¡Hola Zitro!
. .. https://mastersounds.co.uk/ [/ url]. Su FF4.2R y 6.2R serían ideales.
¡Quiero que Formula Sound sobreviva!
