Mi pregunta iba más por saber si la versión 6 será continuísta o dará un salto relevante. Hay algunos scripts muy interesantes que podrían incluirse por defecto, como MPL interactive toolbar, FXList for TCP, dropdown menu (y la librería visual de Lokasenna), tracktags, etc.
Si definitivamente han cambiado a una versión más gráfica y dinámica de los enrutamientos, se han inspirado en Logic Audio, cosa que me parece fenomenal. Hay un puñado de programadores que están ofreciendo scripts gratuitos o a muy buen precio, que se han convertido en imprescindibles para todo tipo de estudios y estilos musicales.
Hay otro script inspirado en Logic Audio (retrospective record) que debería estar integrado por defecto en las funciones de Reaper.
En fin, tampoco pasa nada si no os apetece subir una captura.

Hay un hilo abierto en el foro de Cockos donde se van aportando cosas, incluso White Tie (el autor de la interfaz) ha dispuesto de un script que personaliza cualquier ventana de reaper (arranger, mixer, transport, envelopes, ...) y puedes ir experimentando con tamaño, colores, qué quieres ver y qué no, ....
Todavía está por pulir. Yo lo anticipé hace un tiempo. Los desarrolladores de Reaper son tan geeks y tan nerds, que en cualquier momento iban a comenzar a meter tonterías como videojuegos ocultos y cosas por el estilo.
En la versión 5.99, en la pantalla de créditos, presionando shift + doble click aparece este menú para elegir entre dos juegos. Uno es un Tetris.
Y también he visto que cuando pueden meten mensajes políticos, y en la documentación abundan las bromas internas (ej. alusiones a Kenny Gioia).
