FREE Update: Mixbus 4.0.703
Mixbus32C v4 is on track to be published this Monday, May 1st
Changes introduced in v4.0.703
New Features
Dedicated support for the Presonus Faderport8 control surface ( more details here )
Fixes & Improvements
Mac OSX specific:
If you were having trouble with slow-drawing plugins, this should be greatly improved.
If you were having crashes when showing a popup menu (such as right-clicking on the Tempo marker), this should be fixed.
Occasional noises when soloing a mixbus: this should be fixed.
Re-enable language translations for OS X 10.11 and 10.12
VST data stored in "chunks" ( usually, Virtual Instrument parameters, or reverb IR files, etc ) will now be recognized across Mac/Win/Linux. This dramatically improves VST settings save+recall when sharing sessions across platforms.
Provide an option for metronome: Record-only
Fixed support for "Momentary" pushes (middle-click push) on Mute/Solo buttons, when channels are grouped.
Fixed some cases where the Auditioner bus could be disconnected from the Monitor section.
Easier copy/pasting of the license link into License Manager dialog.
Improved save&recall of external control surface MIDI port connections.
Mini-timeline: show an arrow pointing to the "next" and "previous" markers outside of the mini-timeline view area.
Fixed a problem with Harrison LV2 plugins: sometimes the window would be stretched out of proportion, and mouse clicks wouldn't work as expected.
Fixed set-loop-, set-punch- and set-session-range actions when called from a control surface
Reduced playhead "jitter" when scrolling.
Fixed some problems with the "calibrate" feature on Audio Setup.
Fixed some problems with grouped faders when they are also attached to VCA's.
Fixed an occasional problem with Faderport surfaces: you can now close & open sessions without restarting Mixbus, if a Faderport is connected.
Several new example Lua scripts ( contributed by Nik Gullotta )
Various new features for remote control via OSC ( contributed by Len Ovens )
Add "Behringer X-touch Mini" MCP map
Add Korg Studio MIDI-map ( contributed by Robert Schneider )
Update Korg Nano Kontrol2 MIDI-maps ( contributed by Philippe Demartin )
Updated Japanese translation
New in Mixbus v4: Tempo Mapping
Musicians don't always play to a click.
Mixbus's new Tempo Mapping feature allows you to move the musical timeline to match a "live" performance's timing. This makes it easy to edit your sessions using the Grid; or to add MIDI loops & sequences that follow the tempo map.... without requiring your band to play to the metronome.
